Dr. Raouf Hanna is a board certified Periodontist specializing in the surgical placement and long term maintenance of dental implants. Dr. Hanna earned his dental degree in 1998 and has since continued to refine his scope of specialty practice to implant dentistry with an emphasis in full arch and full mouth reconstructions. Dr. Hanna finished his specialty training and residency at the University of Texas Dental Branch, Houston. Dr. Hanna serves as the program director and associate professor at the University of Texas Dental Branch, and holds appointments in multiple departments. Dr. Hanna has published his research findings in the areas of dental implants, bone grafting, and periodontal regeneration in several journals including the Journal of Periodontology, one of the most respected journals in the field. Dr. Hanna lectures on dental implants and periodontics both nationally and internationally. He is also a member of The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the Greater Houston Society of Periodontists, the Greater Houston Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
